Dr. Wei Lin is an assistant investigator at Baylor Institute for Immunology Research. Dr. Lin was involved in the multiple functional genomics projects such as TCGA, ENCODE, modENCODE and mouseENCODE. His research mainly focuses on the development of next-generation sequencing technology, bioinformatics analysis tools. His group try to extend the application of these state-of-arts technologies in the cancer research, immunology and the pathology and the therapeutic solution of many other diseases.
报告摘要:
Substantial variability in single-cell RNA-Seq data stems from diverse sources including gene expression heterogeneity, cell cycle dynamics, and technical noise. The deconvolution of the contribution of these factors has been the major interest, though remains extremely challenging. We hereby propose a mixture model to solve the signal variation derived from prevalent single cell RNA-Seq platform. It helps to gain profound insight of single cell transcriptional heterogeneity.
